Welcome to Smith’s Pleasant Valley Campground & Cabins! We are your premiere destination for family camping in Ohio! Come stay with us while you explore the beautiful Mohican State Scenic River, Mohican State Park and Amish Country area of North Central Ohio outside the village of Loudonville.

Smith’s Pleasant Valley Campground & Cabins has been a family owned and operated business since 1992. Many families have come to stay with us for several generations. We take pride in offering excellent customer service to all our patrons, making sure that everyone has a wonderful camping experience.

Our campground offers many amenities, including outdoor movies, a playground, horseshoe pits, corn hole, volleyball court, fishing, canoeing, and a swimming pool. We also offer cabins for those who do not want to go the traditional camping route. Map of campground is located at bottom of this page.

At The Landing – our store/office we have pizza, wings, breakfast pizza, biscuits and gravy to order! Order when you check in and we will deliver to your campsite. After your yummy dinner we now offer a full ice cream shop.  Soft serve ice cream, vanilla, Dolewhip and twist.  Do you want a different flavor check out our 25+ different flavors to choose from.  Sundaes, shakes, slushies, coolers, crazy shakes, we have it all!  Camping somewhere else in the Mohican River area stop in. The pizza and ice cream shop is open to everyone.

Canoeing is available here.  We work with 2 different liveries. Mohican Adventures and Loudonville Canoe Livery. They come in pick you up and then you land back here at the campground.  No driving is necessary on Wally Road.

Coming from the Cleveland area take 71 South to Ashland. At Ashland take St Rt. 250 west towards Ashland. At the edge of Ashland there is a bypass (St Rt. 42) go south on the bypass to St Rt. 60. Take St Rt. 60 south to Loudonville. In Loudonville take St Rt. 3 south to Co Rd 3175/Wally Road. Co Rd 3175/Wally Road is directly across from Little Brown Inn on St Rt. 3. Turn left onto Co Rd 3175/Wally Road. Go 4 miles east on Co Rd 3175/Wally Road. The campground and cabins are down the 2nd driveway after the steel bridge. 

Coming from the Columbus area take 71 North to St Rt. 97. Take St Rt. 97 east until it dead ends into St Rt. 3. Turn left which is taking you north on St Rt. 3. Approximately 1 mile north is Co Rd 3175/Wally Road. Co Rd 3175/Wally Road is directly across from Little Brown Inn on St Rt. 3. Turn right onto Co Rd 3175/Wally Road. Go 4 miles east on Co Rd 3175/Wally Road. The campground and cabins are down the 2nd driveway after the steel bridge. 

Coming from the Akron/Canton area take St Rt. 21 south off of I-76 to St Rt. 585. St Rt. 585 to St Rt. 3 outside of Wooster. Take St Rt. 3 south to Loudonville. In Loudonville take St Rt. 3 south to Co Rd 3175/Wally Road. Co Rd 3175/Wally Road is directly across from Little Brown Inn on St Rt. 3. Turn left onto Co Rd 3175/Wally Road. Go 4 miles east on Co Rd 3175/Wally Road. The campground and cabins are down the 2nd driveway after the steel bridge.  I-77 users take I-77 to St Rt. 39. Go west on St Rt. 39 until you come to Loudonville. In Loudonville take St Rt. 3 south to Co Rd 3175/Wally Road. Co Rd 3175/Wally Road is directly across from Little Brown Inn on St Rt. 3. Turn left onto Co Rd 3175/Wally Road. Go 4 miles east on Co Rd 3175/Wally Road. The campground and cabins are down the 2nd driveway after the steel bridge.

Rules: 

Special Info –Rules At Smith’s Campground & Cabins we strive for you to have the most relaxing and enjoyable time possible! We are glad that you chose our campground, canoe livery, and/or cabins! We will serve and accommodate you as best we can! We will also enforce the following rules for the safety and enjoyment of all our campers!

1. You are entering an area that may have natural hazards. Sometimes in nature there are things that we cannot prepare for or control. We want everyone to be aware of their surroundings at all times. If at any time there is a concern, please inform the office immediately!

2. Respect your fellow campers, their campsite & their property. Harassment of canoer’s of any type – throwing water balloons, squirting with water guns or hose’s is grounds for eviction.

3. Children are their parent’s responsibility. Do not leave your children unattended anywhere on the property at any time.

4. Pool – Children 12 & under must have an ADULT (18 or older) with them at all times at the pool.

5. Do not wear the clothes or bathing suit that you wore in the river into the pool!!!!

6. Playground closes at dusk and an adult must accompany all children at all times in park.

7. Fireworks are prohibited. Chinese lanterns, sparklers or any are grounds for eviction.

8. Firearms are prohibited.

9. Do not trespass on private property across the river or fenced in property. These are our neighbors.

10. Alcohol beverages must be kept in moderation. Underage consumption is AGAINST THE LAW and will be handled accordingly. The same rules apply to tobacco products.

11.Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Keep barking in check.

12.Pets must be cleaned up at all times.

13.Conserve water & electricity.

14. Speed limit is 5 mph throughout park.

15.Do not use the electric poles to tie off tents or clotheslines.

16.Do not deface, cut or destroy trees or foliage.

17.ADA aware.

18.Prices are subject to change without notice.

19.No rainchecks or refunds will be issued.

20.Minimum of 15’ between campers.

21.Campfires must be within a “Fire Ring” attended to at all times and contained within ring.

22.Anyone who creates a nuisance will be asked to leave the grounds without a refund.

23. Failure to abide by these rules will result in eviction without a refund.

24.We reserve the right to refuse entrance to any of our properties and or facilities for the good of the business and or safety of the people.

25.Observe all safety videos and precautions when canoeing or near the water.

26.Gates will be shut with no leaving or entering during quiet hours! (Quiet Hours - 11pm until 8am)

Rates: 

Our campsites are available On or Off the river, with electric and water or primitive. All campsites have a picnic table and fire ring for your use. We welcome tents, Pop-ups and RV’s of any size or length.  You receive FREE use of our showers, flush toilets and dump station when you are staying with us. With 50-30-20 amp electric service and 40′ wide sites, we are truly BIG RIG Friendly! We are a family oriented campground with our family living on premise.

Pets are welcome in the campground at your campsite and are no charge as long as they are kept under control, tied up, cleaned up after and not left unattended.

To make a reservation you can either call or email us to check availability.  Our availability is constantly changing. Wait list is done by email only.

Electric

  • $40 per night on river for 2 people. One camping unit (1 tent or 1 trailer).
  • $35 per night off river for 2 people One camping unit (1 tent or 1 trailer).
  • $45 per night Premium On River gravel pad and concrete patio. One camping unit (1 trailer).

Primitive

  • $30 per night for 2 people off river. One camping unit (1 tent). First come first served – no reservations taken
  • $30 per night for 2 people on river. One camping unit (1 tent). Group area – must reserve a minimum of 4 sites maximum of 8 sites

Additional People in the same Camping Unit

  • $10 for Adults.
  • $5 for children 11-17.
  • No charge for children 10 and under.
  • Additional tent on the same site is the same price as on its own site, based on 2 people unless the tent is for your under age 18 children. Additional tents on a site are per our discretion.

Day Visitors for Campers or Cabins

  • All visitors must register upon arrival and leave campground by 10pm.
  • Visitor Pass must be displayed at all times while on the campground property.
  • $10 for Adults
  • $5 for children 11-17
