We are a family owned and operated campground.  We took ownership of the Foothills Family Campground in September 2019 and look forward to greeting out guests! 

Nestled in the lakes region and just a stone’s throw to White Lake State Park, the White Mountains area offers our guests with an abundance of activities in the area making for a great family vacation spot. 

The Foothills Family Campground offers a variety of campsites for both tents and RVs. All our sites are nestled in beautiful wooded areas under tall pine trees. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and a fireplace. Water and 20 and 30 Amp. electric and sewer hookups and rustic sites are available.  We offer nightly, weekly, monthly and seasonal sites.  

 

Directions: 

From Points South - from Portsmouth, NH take 1st exit onto Spaulding Turnpike - NH-16 Approximately 62 miles.At intersection of NH-25W and NH-16, go approximately 4 miles north on NH-16.

From Concord NH - North on I-93 N. Take exit number 23 - the RT-104/RT-132 exit- - towards MEREDITH/NEW HAMPTON. Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto NH-104. Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto US-3. Turn RIGHT onto NH-25. Stay straight to go onto NH-16. Go left (north) on NH-16 approximately 4 miles.

From Portland ME - follow Brighton Avenue into Westbrook to ME-25. Continue on ME-25 to the NH border. Follow NH-25 to the intersection of NH-16. Go north on NH-16/25 approximately 6 miles. At the intersection of NH25W and NH-16N stay north on NH-16 approximately 4 mile.

 

Rules: 

The Foothills is a family campground and we ask that all campers maintain acceptable standards of behavior.  Drive slowly and watch for children in the road.   Do not walk through the sites of others.   Do not trespass on the property of our neighbors.  Watch for posted signs.   Always observe quite hours and refrain from playing loud music & loud talk in campsites.

We will not tolerate drunkenness, the use of profane language or other behavior not in keeping with the family setting.  We reserve the right to eject anyone who in our judgement is creating a disturbance, impairing the enjoyment of other guests, profane or inappropriate language, is a nuisance to others or deliberately breaks the rules of the campground. 

CHECK IN & CHECK OUT TIMES:  Check in at the main office and store is between 1:00 pm and 8:00 pm.  Check out time is at 12:00 noon.  Campsites should be left in the same condition as it as received. 

REGISTRATION:  All campers are always required to register at the front desk and display vehicle tag in car on-site.  Registered campers are responsible for the actions of their children, pets and guests.  Children under the age of 12 should be accompanied by an adult.  Any acts of vandalism, destruction of property or violence will result in immediate ejectment from the park without refund.  

VISITORS:  All registered guests are responsible for their visitors.  All visitors must register at the office.  There is a small daily charge for visitors who wish to use our facilities.   Visitors should not arrive before 7:30 AM and must depart by 9:30 PM.

QUIET HOURS:  We observe quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM each day.  To ensure the comfort and rest of all we strictly enforce this rule.  Violation of quiet hours may result in ejectment from the campground and if alcohol is involved contacting the local or NH State police.

PETS:  Maximum of 2 pets per registered site welcome.  There are breed restrictions, please contact us for additional information regarding our pet policy.  We require that a current shot record be presented at registration for all cats and dogs.  Pets must always be on a leash .  Please do not leave pets unattended in the campground.  Please clean up after pets in all areas of the campground.  Pets are not permitted in the pool or recreation hall.  Any pets that become violent or a nuisance will result in ejectment without refund.

CAMPFIRES:  Wood is not permitted to be brought from outside of the State of NH.  Our fire permit allows for small campfires in specific locations.  Fires must be in existing fire rings only and the flame must be kept no more than two foot high.  Bon fires are not permitted.  Please do not burn trash or garbage of any kind in the fire rings.  Fires must be out by 12:00 midnight.  PLEASE DO NOT MOVE FIRE PITS. Be sure your fire is completely extinguished before leaving. Do not leave your fire unattended. You are responsible for keeping fires under control. You may use fallen branches/ sticks from the surrounding woods for firewood however you may not cut or damage any living trees.

Speed limits:  We are a family and pet friendly park.  Please obey the speed limits posted and all traffic signs.  Please park in designated spots only.  There is no parking permitted on the campground roads. 

TRASH:  Please place all household trash in the dumpster which is located near the propane fill station across from the office.  No large items such as lawn chairs etc. in the dumpster.  Please do not burn garbage or trash of any kind in the fireplaces. 

BATHHOUSE:  Rest Rooms/ Showers/ laundry:  Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.  Please use common courtesy with how you use and treat our facilities.  We pride ourselves on keeping the bathhouse clean.  Please elevate to the main office any issues or concerns so they may be addressed immediately.  Dishes are not to be washed in the bathhouse sinks. 

POOL:  Please read and comply with all rules and regulations posted at the swimming pool.  Please note that WE DO NOT PROVIDE A LIFEGUARD, you swim at your own risk.  Food and glass are not permitted in the pool area.  Children under 12 must always be under adult supervision  while at the pool.  Swimming alone is not allowed.  Please wear shoes or sandals to and from the pool and rinse off at the pool entrance shower before entering the water.  No Pets in the pool area.  The Pool is open from 10:00 am until dusk

FISHING POND:   We annually stock the fishing pond for the enjoyment of our campers.  Please comply with the posted rules and regulations and either catch and release with a non-barbed hook or limit your take to one fish per day per person. Our pond is clean and healthy.   Please do not remove any of the creatures that live there:  including clams, frogs, crayfish etc.  They are all important to the pond’s ecology.

PADDLEBOAT AND KAYAKS:  These are provided to our guests as a courtesy for your enjoyment for use at your own risk.  Life jackets are required.  Please be courteous to our guests and parents should be responsible to limit times to less than 2 hours if other guests are waiting for use. 

PLAYGROUND:  Parents must supervise all children under 10 when they are using the playground.

RECREATION HALL:    To allow all enjoy the Recreation Hall please comply with the posted rules.  Please use trash receptacles, do not bring food or drink into the hall, and return all equipment and games and their parts to their proper

TREES:  Trees are very important to the climate and beauty of the campground.  Please do not cut or damage live trees, shrubs or undergrowth in any way.  Please remove all rope and cord from trees before leaving.

BICYCLES:  Bicycles are allowed at the Foothills Campground.  Bike Helmets Are Required For Riders Under 16 Years of Age (NH RSA 265:144X) Parents....Please be sure your children know and understand these rules for their safety!  Bicycles may be ridden from dawn to dusk 

PARKING:  Parking is allowed only in campsites and in parking areas.  Please do not park along campground roads or create parking spaces in the underbrush.  Onsite parking is limited to one car.  Please use main parking lot for additional vehicles.

SHOES:  Please wear shoes or sandals on pressure treated decks and, in the store, and buildings.

NOT ALLOWED:  We do not allow the use of the following in the campground: fireworks of any kind, mini-bikes, motor bikes, & ATV’s and personal chainsaws.

1-night non-refundable deposit required with reservations 1-3 nights; 25% non-refundable deposit 4+ nights due upon reservation.  Payment in full required upon check in.  Site occupancy is limited to 6 guests with a maximum of 4 adults per site.  Only 1 trailer/ RV / tent per site.  Tent camping reservations are limited to a maximum of 7 consecutive days.  Rates are subject to change.

Local interests include wineries, distillery with tours, tax free shopping locally and outlets of North Conway, family fun including Barnstormers Theatre, White Lake Speedway, hiking trails of Mt. Chocorua, White Lake State Park, boating, kayaking and so much more.
