Cozy C is nestled among the hills of northeast Missouri. You will find Cozy C neat, clean and friendly. The sites are marked off with bowling balls mounted on posts. The bathroom facilities which are clean and modern, illustrate the pride the owners have in the campground. The level sites are gravel with a grass lawn and a flowering bush. Each site has full hookups with access to cable and internet. The nineteen hole challenging mini golf course is situated next to a pavilion and picnic area. The picnic area contains barbecue grills and an arena campfire with free firewood. And there is a horseshoe pit for those who enjoy throwing horseshoes.
The office has 9 flavors of soft serve ice cream along with a variety of ice cream products. The office also sells a variety of RV supplies, Mountain t shirts, special occasion cards, and puzzles.
Next to the office is a laundromat with three washers and 4 dryers, and a book and magazine exchange site. Next to the laundromat is the spacious meeting hall which is available for rent for special occasions and events for groups. It is often used for groups requesting the famous waffle breakfast the owners have upon requests. Also available upon request by groups are barbecue meals at a reasonable rate.
For campers needing to refill propane, it is available for cylinders and motor homes.
Directions: When traveling on US 61, at the intersection of US 61 and US 54 go east. We are located 2 1/4 miles east of Highway 61 on Highway 54, on the south (right) side of road. If you are traveling east on 54 from Illinois, we are 8 miles from Louisiana MO. on the south (left) side.
Park Rules: Our general rule is to show respect toward one's neighbors, property and self.
Pets are welcome, but must be kept on a leash. We do not allow tie outs and ask the pets be walked in the dog walk and picked up after.
Quiet hours are 10 pm to 8 am.
We are here to help anyone having special needs or needing comforting.
Rates: 2015 rates are $27.50 per night for up to 3 people. Internet is extra. Extra persons are $2 each.
Local Interest: Amish community within 10 miles; beautiful homes in Louisiana (8 miles); Mississippi River for fishing and boating is 10 miles from us; Bowling Green Lake is 2 1/2 miles and is great for fishing, having a picnic, hiking and bird watching. Bowling Green has a chocolate factory, and world renown Woods Meat Locker. Louisiana has an outdoor sculpture park, ideal for walking, and bird watching. The riverfront at Louisiana is good for relaxing and watching the tugboats. A small town, Clarksville, 14 miles from us has a variety of craft shops with skilled craftsmen. There is a lock and dam where one might observe the eagles.
