This is a little hidden gem on the beautiful Kentucky River in the Capital city of Frankfort. We offer year round camping with heated shower facility, laundry, propane fill station and tank exchange cage, several year round sites, shade trees, open pavillion with fireplace, enclosed pavillion with wood stove/AC & kitchen, enclosed air conditioned porch overlooking the river, playground, & camp store!!  We also have 2 fully furnished 5th wheel to rent on a nightly/weekly basis. The public boat ramp is just down the road.  Campground has many activities for all ages throughout the season.

Super close to many of the regions Bourbon Distilleries and all the festivities that the Capital City has to offer.  

Lots of river FUN to be had by all.  Watch the wild life, kayaking and boating, swimming, fishing or just a lazy float!!

From I-75, I- 64, Lexington, East of Frankfort:

· Take I-64 West toward Versailles/Frankfort

· Take Exit 58 - US-60

· Merge onto US-60 toward Frankfort (take a right at the bottom of the ramp)

· Follow US-60 for about 5 miles

· Merge right onto ramp for US-127 (This will be at the bottom of a hill)

· Turn left at the bottom of the ramp onto US-127, toward Owenton

· Follow US-127 for almost 5 miles.

· Turn left onto Steele Branch Road (first left after BP station)

From Louisville, West of Frankfort:

· Take I-64 East toward Lexington

· Take Exit 53B - US-127 toward Frankfort

· Follow US-127 for about 5 miles

· Turn Left onto US-421 / Wilkinson Street (at the bottom of a bridge

· over the Kentucky River)

· Follow US-421 for almost 2 miles

· Merge left onto ramp for US-127 (before going up a large hill)

· Turn left at the bottom of the ramp onto US-127, towards Owenton

· Follow US-127 for almost 5 miles.

· Turn left onto Steele Branch Road (first left after BP station)

From Bluegrass Parkway:

· Take Exit 59B - US-127 toward Lawrenceburg

· Follow US-127 for about 18 miles into Frankfort

· Turn Left onto US-421 / Wilkinson Street (at the bottom of a bridge

· over the Kentucky River)

· Follow US-421 for almost 2 miles

· Merge left onto ramp for US-127 (before going up a large hill)

· Turn left at the bottom of the ramp onto US-127, towards Owenton

· Follow US-127 for almost 5 miles.

· Turn left onto Steele Branch Road (first left after BP station)

 

Rules: 

PETS:

Pets must be on a leash. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their animals. No pets     allowed in any  of our public buildings.

FIREARMS:

With the exception of hunting firearms, weapons of any kind are not allowed on the campground.  Hunters may transport a firearm from their camper to their vehicle or boat.  Any other display of firearms will result in immediate expulsion from the campground.

QUIET HOURS:

10 PM—8 AM.  No riding bikes,  or skateboards after dark.

ADULT SUPERVISION:

Children under the age of 18 must have adult (over 21) supervision at all times. 

ALCOHOL:

Absolutely no alcoholic beverages permitted if under 21 years of age.  All alcoholic beverages must be in huggies.  Any drinking must be done in moderation.

VISITORS:

Visitors must register in the office.  All visitors must display a visitor pass in their vehicles.  All visitors must leave the campground by 11 PM.

LAUNDROMAT:

Please clean washers and dryers after use and do not leave clothes unattended.  Change is available in the office.

MOTORIZED CYCLES:

Gas-powered motorized cycles and scooters are to be used for entry and exit of campground only.

PARKING:

There is a parking limit of 1 vehicle per site.  Visitors may park in the boat yard or as directed by management.

BOAT LAUNCH:

All boats are to be launched by management.  No vehicles are allowed on the rock bar.  There is a $5.00 launch fee.

SWIMMING:

Swim at your own risk!  No lifeguard is  provided!

SMOKING:

No smoking in enclosed building or spaces.  Please be respectful!

GARBAGE/TRASH:

Please take all trash to the dumpster in the boatyard.

CHECKOUT TIME:

Checkout time is Noon.

Local Interest: 

The Capital city of Frankfort is just up the road, offering many great events including the Summer concerts, a great theater, an awesome History Museum, many restaurants and local farmers market.  Lexington and Louisville are just a short trip away.  If you love horses you are in the right part of the country.  Keenland and Church Hill Downs are close by.  Bourbon is part of our Kentucky history and there are plenty of distilleries around to visit.  Each with their own unique tours.
