The Place
Lone Oak Campsites is a great family campground located in Northwestern Connecticut. Nestled in the charming region of the Berkshire foothills at the base of Canaan Mountain. Lone Oak is spread over 250 acres and has 469 campsites with a full range of hookup options.
You can camp under the cool canopy of the woods or in a sun-drenched field with pull-through sites, a variety of hookup options, trailer and cabin rentals, and more!
Park Rules & Directions
- Quiet hours on weekdays is 10PM to 8AM, weekends 11PM to 8AM. Everyone should be at an occupied site by quiet hour. Disturbing the peace at any time will not be tolerated.
- Visitors must register at the Main Gate or the Office. Registered campers are responsible for their visitors. Day visitors must be out by 11PM, overnight visitors 3PM the next day.
- Consumption of alcoholic drinks must be confined to your site, in the Hayloft Lounge, or at special events. You must be 21 years old or older to enter the Hayloft Lounge.
- No child under 14 years old is to be left unattended in the campground by a parent or guardian while using campground facilities. No one under 21 years is allowed to camp without a parent or guardian. Children ages 14-20 must have an adult responsible for them who is located within the campground property.
- Do not cut through occupied sites.
- Campsite check out is 2PM and check-in time is 3PM. Rental check out is 11AM and check-in time is 3PM.
- Pets must be on a leash always and under control. No pet should be left at the site alone. There is a pet walk area down by Storage. Please do not bring pets onto the ball field or rec field. Clean up after your pet. Pets are not allowed in or around the rental area or public areas (except T5, T6, and T7). You are required to have an up to date rabies certificate at your campsites.
- Helmets must be worn by everyone when riding their bicycles. Bikes must not be ridden in restricted areas. All bikes must be returned to the site by 6PM on Friday and by dusk Saturday-Thursday. Bikes must follow posted campground speed limits.
- No cutting trees, dead or alive.
- Fireworks, sky lanterns, and weapons are strictly prohibited. This includes CT legal fireworks.
- Obey all traffic and posted signs around the campground.
- Golf cart or unregistered motor vehicle must: be operated responsibly by a licensed driver; follow posted speed limits; not be used unnecessarily after quiet hours; not have more people on the vehicle than seat allows; be registered with the office with proof of liability insurance; have headlights required for night operation; have a proper muffler so as not to disturb other campers. Do not leave keys in the vehicle while unattended. Not to be driven off Lone Oak Property.
- Please do not trespass on neighboring land to the campground, as it is private property.
- Breaking of campground rules, charges of any local, state, or federal regulations within the campground gives Lone Oak the right to immediately terminate or void any obligations or agreements it may have with the camping family.
- We do not allow the use of ATVs, mini-bikes, go-carts, dirt bikes, or motor scooters in the campground.
