    Governs Mansion
Perched on the bluffs overlooking the Missouri River, this mansion with its distinctive mansard roof and ornate grillwork is a tangible element in Missouri history. It has served Missouri longer than any other government building and has been the home of Missouri’s First Families since 1871. It is an outstanding example of Renaissance Revival architecture with Italian and French influences and is one of the oldest governor’s residences in the United States.

    Missouri State Fair
"2009 Best of Rural Missouri" Readers' Choice Contest votes Missouri State Fair as Best Family Destination for the central region.  Choose the Missouri State Fair as your family destination in Sedalia! 396 acres with MOre Fun Than Ever await you at an affordable-family-value.

    Ozark Trails
Trails have laced the earth’s surface for countless centuries. Early human beings followed game trails, and eventually wore trails of their own as they migrated and searched for food and water. Later, trails were developed between villages to allow for increased trade and cultural interchange. Trails also, of course, led to areas of special beauty and areas having spiritual significance.

    Roger Pryor Pioneer Backcountry
Experience the wildness and solitude of the Missouri park system’s largest undeveloped area in the Roger Pryor Pioneer Backcountry. Located in a remote area of the Ozarks, the backcountry is a 61,000-acre tract unit that is a portion of the Pioneer Forest, the state’s largest privately owned forest.

    Powell Gardens
Set on 915 acres of lush, rolling hills and meadows, Powell Gardens offers breathtaking display gardens, interesting architecture, a nature trail, plus a year-round calendar of special events and classes for the entire family. Garden features include the Island Garden, the Perennial Garden, the Rock and Waterfall Garden, the Wildflower Meadow, a chapel, an indoor conservatory, the ever changing Terrace Gardens and native plantings. The Fountain Garden centers on a 42-foot interactive water feature.

    Titanic
Towering 100 feet above street-level, this ship-shaped family adventure holds more than 400 priceless artifacts and historic treasures. It allows each visitor to encounter the personal, heroic and tragic stories of Titanic’s passengers. Walk the Grand Staircase to experience the beauty of the Edwardian era; see a first class stateroom; touch an iceberg; and view history through the Father Browne photographic collection. Closed Christmas.

    Longboat Outfitters
Our boats are replicas (using modern materials) of the old three-plank john boats used in the early 1900s. Our trips bring back the old-time feeling of a leisurely paced, fully catered float trip. We include everything from riverbank meals featuring Dutch oven cookery to campfire entertainment and a complementary ecological education on Ozark streams. The boat offers great comfort and space for the fisherman and campers. We offer guided fishing trips on all area streams, but we specialize on the White River, Eleven Point, Bryant Creek, and Gasconade River. This is a first class floating experience that is suitable for all who want to experience the wild parts of the Ozarks.

    Fantastic Caverns
America's only ride-through cave. The cave is toured in jeep-drawn trams. Since you ride all the way through, you experience the magnitude, the stillness and the splendor of Fantastic Caverns while preserving its natural features.
The unique tram follows the path of an ancient underground river. Enjoy the beauty of a natural cave without the long walks or steep climbs. The guided, all-riding tour is ideal for seniors, families with small children and physically challenged travelers. Group rates offered.  I-44, exit 77; Route 13 north 1.5 miles, follow the signs. Open year-round. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas eve and day. Admission: $21.50; age 6-12, $13.50; younger than 6, free.

    Stoney Acres Sheep Dairy
This is a family run sheep dairy and cheese plant. We offer seven varieties of naturally aged farmstead sheep's milk cheese. Sheep's milk has more vitamins and minerals than cow’s or goat’s milk. We have soaps, lotions and fudge made with sheep's milk. We offer hands on milking of the sheep. Taste samples are given during the free tours and milking. Please call ahead for time and date. Thank Ewe.
