145 site family oriented campground with water and electricity. A separate section for tent campers. Bath-houses feature hot showers, and there is a laundry on site. There are over 2 miles of hikingtrails. The Visitor Center includes a campstore, the National Jousting Hall of Fame, the park offices, and a game room. Olympic size swimming pool is open Memorial to Labor day. Campers have free admission to pool. Jousting tournaments held 3rd weekend in June and August. Site of the oldest consecutively run sporting event. Includes 2.5 miles of hiking trails and river frontage for fishing. Seven Natural Chimneys tower as much as 120 feet above the pastoral terrain of the Shenandoah Valley, offering onlookers a sight unrivaled in majesty. |
