Maine South Coast Camping

The Maine South Coast is the "Gateway to Maine" and is home to miles of white sand shoreline and a scenic coast dotted with quaint villages and historic towns. Enjoy a beach getaway at York, Ogunquit, Wells and Old Orchard, which also features a famous boardwalk and amusement pier. Shop 'til you drop at the Old Port Shopping District in Portland, the Kittery Outlets in Kittery, Perkins Cove in Ogunquit and the well-known L.L. Bean Flagship Store in Freeport. Visit the historic Neddick Lighthouse in York, and the lighthouse commissioned by George Washington at Portland Head Light on the scenic shores of Fort Williams on Cape Elizabeth. Downtown Portland is a cultural & entertainment center. Many visitors come to Kennebunk & Kennebunkport; the town of Kennebunk offers a deep history of ship building & agriculture, white Kennebunkport is famous for its fishing, shopping and famous residents, the George H.W. Maine Western Lakes & Mountains Camping

The Main Western Lakes & Mountains region is marked by its diverse city attractions & outdoor adventures. The Sebago Lake & Long Lake area offers miles of scenic boating, parasailing, windsailing, and peaceful inlets on Sebago Lake and seaplane & mail boat and rides at the Naples Causeway on Long Lake. The Rangeley Lakes area features the trout & salmon fishing and other outdoor recreation at Rangeley Lake and dozens of other ponds & lakes. Explore the mountain activities of the Carrabassett River Valley and the Bigelow Mountain Range. The commercial, historical and cultural center of the region is the Lewiston-Auburn area, which offers all the big city amenities of Lewiston and the more recreation-oriented activities of Auburn. The Maine Kennebec & Moose River Valley is an outdoor recreation getaway that keeps city attractions conveniently close.
